Empowering families,
supporting children,
caring for older and vulnerable people
SERVICES

Everyone has problems from time to time and a Family Group Conference (FGC) is an opportunity for families to make their own choices about the future.
At an FGC, families will be able to get
together to make the best possible plan.

Our advocay service supports children and young people, helping them:
-
have their voices heard
-
express their views in the decision-making process
-
understand their rights
-
make a complaint

Children in care often experience many different carers and social workers, this can cause important information about their lives to be lost or forgotten.
Life story work provides children with information on their past, sometimes on events than can be difficult to understand, in an age appropriate manner.

A Kinship or Family Assessment is a tool for gathering information regarding a specific family member of the child in question, and appraising their ability to provide care in the short-term and the long-term. The assessment will consider the issue of contact between birth parents and their child and the nature of the relationship between the Kinship carer and the birth parents.

At CPK we pride ourselves in giving safe, caring and much needed support. So that older and vulnerable people can remain living in their own homes and communities.
We provide practical help in running the home, preparing meals, advocacy, befriending and companionship.
