Family Group Conference (FGC)

What is FGC?

Everyone has problems from time to time and a Family Group Conference (FGC) is an opportunity for families to make their own choices about the future. At an FGC you will be able to get together with your family to make the best possible plan. It is your meeting!

Who's who and what do they do?

Your Convenor will visit you to explain about the meeting and help arrange for people to come along, including services that may be useful to you and your family going foward.

Children's Advocate

It is important that your child or young person is involved and they may want an adult to help. This person is called an advocate

What happens at your FGC?

Step 1 - Information sharting

Step 2 - Private family time

Step 3 - Agreeing the plan

You can choose to have a review of your plan later on. We can help with the cost of coming to a conference, or if you need childcare during the meeting. Please ask if you feel you need help.

There is plenty of further information about who is eligible for FGC, and more information on the FGC process, including a leaflet specially for children and young people.

If FGC is a service you require, please download our referral form and send to: info@cpkfamily.co.uk
